Britest welcomed members and invited guests to the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology for its annual conference with a focus on sustainable manufacturing.

The conference was held in association with RESILIENCE (UK Medicines Manufacturing Skills Centre of Excellence), IBIC (Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst) and AMRICC (Applied Materials Research, innovation &Commercialisation Company).
Attendees were welcomed by Britest CEO Dr Kirk Malone and Sue Fleet, chair of the board, before hearing talks on sustainability, unlocking biotech's potential and SMMIP sustainable manufacturing projects.
A panel session on Trends in sustainable manufacturing featured on the day two agenda before the innovation spotlight gave members and partners the opportunity to share details of their current projects.
