Britest welcomed members and invited guests to the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology for its annual conference with a focus on sustainable manufacturing.

 

T​he conference was held in association with RESILIENCE (UK Medicines Manufacturing Skills Centre of Excellence), IBIC (Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst) and AMRICC (Applied Materials Research, innovation &Commercialisation Company).

A​ttendees were welcomed by Britest CEO Dr Kirk Malone and Sue Fleet, chair of the board, before hearing talks on sustainability, unlocking biotech's potential and SMMIP sustainable manufacturing projects.

A​ panel session on Trends in sustainable manufacturing featured on the day two agenda before the innovation spotlight gave members and partners the opportunity to share details of their current projects.
